What is the Online Shopping Solution?

A simple and easy to use shipping solution for online purchases made from the UK and around the world. Shipments are customs-cleared and available for pick up from the office facility in Lusaka.

How to use the service?

Logon to your favorite online store. Find what you are looking for and add this to your basket.

1. Pay for the items online.

2. Enter our UK delivery address

3. Be sure to include your mobile number and e-mail address when completing the delivery information. This information is needed to notify you that your shipment has arrived in Zambia.

4. Once the shipment is at our Lusaka facility, we will let you know that your shipment is ready for pick-up.

How can I pay for my shipment?

We will contact you to let you know as soon as your shipment has arrived in Zambia.  At the same time, we will also provide you with the cost for your shipment. 

There are 2-way payment options available when you collect your shipment.

Cash when you pick up your shipment

Visa or Master credit card

Are there any additional charges applicable?

Duties, taxes and other fees may be due when using the Online Shopping Solution. These will be billed to the recipient. BRISA EXPRESS may advance these fees as assessed by Customs on behalf of the payer, subject to a fee based on the advanced amount.

Customs VAT and duty based on the value of the items. The amount will vary dependent on the origin of the shipment.

Clearing, disbursement and handling fees may be applicable on certain shipments.

Origin applicable charges, may apply.

A surcharge for a pick up from a facility, other than the BRISA EXPRESS Main Lusaka facility, will be applicable.

Shipments not picked up within 5 days, from notification to collect, will attract a storage fee per day.

Fragile or inadequately packed shipments may be repacked at an additional fee, which will be for your account.

Not sure what you can ship?

The following items are not acceptable for carriage using the Online Shopping Solution:

1. Lithium batteries that are not contained in or not packaged with equipment cannot be shipped.

2. Used faulty phones not allowed – only new mobile phones, limited to 2 phones per shipment is accepted

3. Packages weighing excess of 30kg (Speak to our customer service team for parcels weighing more than 30Kg)

4. Packages that are inadequately packaged

5. Illicit drugs

6. Guns or toy guns

7. Indecent or obscene material

8. Money

9. Alcohol, liquids, body oils, any kind of gel, sprays

10. Precious metal or stones

11. Knives or any other sharp objects

12. All types of glass

13. Hazardous cosmetics, flammable lotions, creams, nail polish, hairspray, any kind of chemical, toners

14. Live plants

15. Perishable foods

16. Furs

17. Tobacco and tobacco products

18. Sex Toys (They will be seized by customs)

Is there liability and insurance cover on my shipment?

BRISA EXPRESS does not provide insurance or cargo liability for shipments sent using the Online Shopping Solution.

How do you calculate the weight and dimensions?

For the Online Shopping Solution transportation rates are based on the total weight of all packages in one shipment using one (Air) Waybill. Any fraction of a kilogram takes the next half a kilogram. 

The following volumetric calculation applies: Dimensional weight in kg per package = Length x Height X Width in cm / 5,000 is charged when the dimensional weight exceeds the actual weight.
